Sunny Taylor signs with Rockhill Records, announces release date for next album
Rockhill Records, a record label located in Fort Wayne, Ind., is pleased to announce the signing of Sunny Taylor to its roster.
Taylor will release her upcoming full-length album through Rockhill on January 4, 2014. The new album is being produced by Taylor and engineered by Tim Bushong of T. Bush Recording in Syracuse, Ind.
Taylor has independently released three albums and one EP. Her style has evolved from “girl and guitar” into angst-ridden Alanis Morissette, to retrospective pop/rock, and finally, to the more mature alternative folk/Americana.
She has shared the stage in support of artists such as Pat Benatar, Better Than Ezra, ukulele master Jake Shimabukuro, Edwin McCain, Patty Larkin, Rachael Davis, The Guggenheim Grotto, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, as well as Martha Reeves and the Vandellas and songwriter Beth Nielson-Chapman.
Taylor has also recorded with renowned multi-instrumentalist Phil Madeira (associated with Emmylou Harris), award-winning guitarist Tom Hemby (associated with Faith Hill and Rob Thomas) and bassist Bryan Beller (associated with Dweezil Zappa and Dream Theater).
Two of her previous works, the “Sunny Taylor” self-titled EP, and “Lock the Door and Leave,” have been re-released as digital downloads in four different formats — Apple Lossless, ACC, MP3 192 kpbs, and MP3 128 kbps.
